HIP is a new initiative that connects thinkers, makers and doers. Jointly organized by Student Council and The Faculty and Staff, the Platform offers currents students with entrepreneurial drive guidance, mentorship, and structured learning opportunities in the form of a Workshop series, and forthcoming funding and networking services in the 16-17 Academic Year.

Dorian Wirz
HIP- Advisor
Dorian is a senior psychology major and economics minor at Haverford College. A New York City native, Dorian has always been especially appreciative of the close community Haverford College has to offer. A member of the Haverford Men’s Varsity Soccer team and an Archibald MacIntosh Award winner, Dorian understands the importance of collaborating with others to reach common goals. It was in this vein of collaboration that Dorian first developed an interest in helping to create a student-led Innovation Platform. He has always had a passion for problem-solving, and brings digital marketing and consulting experience to HIP.
Yue Xiang
HIP- Marketing and Promotions manager
Yue is a senior Mathematics major at Haverford College. She is from Guangzhou, China, was in Raleigh NC for two years before coming to Haverford. She is an advisor of the Business Initiatives Group (BIG), and also working to launch a program for Women of Color to create a community network focusing on aiding in the transitioning from being in college to entering the workforce. She loves working with innovative ideas and problem-solving, creative marketing, following stocks, and reading about investments and management. She does marketing and PR development for HIP, because she enjoys creating messages that captivate people.
