Ian Andolsek

Students' Council- HIP Coordinator

Ian is a senior philosophy major at Haverford College. Hailing from Portland, Maine, Ian is Co-President of the Students' Council. His interests in developing a student-led Innovation Platform at the College began after he spent his junior year as Co-treasurer of Students' Council with Tristan Pepin, and together they restructured the finances and bookkeeping of the Student Activities Fund to make the process more transparent, which saved money at the end of the Academic Year for use towards important projects on campus. His relevant interests are in media, music and visual arts and the spaces that house them, and organizational development. His other current projects include designing a bioethics research program for Maine Medical Center that will accept Haverford students during summers.

Tristan Pepin

Students' Council Co-President

Tristan is a Junior Linguistics major and Computer Science minor at Haverford College. He’s from Waltham Massachusetts, and is co-President of the Student Council. His interests in developing a student-led Innovation Platform at the College began after he spent his sophomore year as co-treasurer of Student Council with Ian Andolsek and together they restructured the finances and bookkeeping of the Student Activities Fund to make money better available at the end of the Academic Year for use towards important projects on campus. He is working on a innovative project for Professor Schrier of the Chemistry department, the likes of which he hopes will be given more opportunities to flourish at Haverford and then grow beyond our campus through HIP. Nathan Sokolic

HIP- Special Advisor

Nathan is a sophomore economics major at Haverford College. He is from Atlanta, Georgia but recently moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He has a deep-rooted passion for problem-solving that has manifested in his entrepreneurial endeavors. Last year he was afforded the opportunity to take his interests abroad and develop a multi-national startup. His interests in developing a student-led Innovation Platform at the College began while he and another Haverford student constantly struggled with the pressures of simultaneously taking classes and developing a business without resources or advisement available at Haverford. This proved to be untenable, sparking his leave of absence to continue work abroad. He envisions a program that will allow students to meaningfully and effectively engage in both their studies and in projects they are passionate about. In his spare time he consults on the development of early-stage startups in the Philadelphia area and has been applying what he has learned through his endeavors to help refine the structure of HIP as a special advisor.

Dorian Wirz

HIP- Advisor

Dorian is a senior psychology major and economics minor at Haverford College. A New York City native, Dorian has always been especially appreciative of the close community Haverford College has to offer. A member of the Haverford Men’s Varsity Soccer team and an Archibald MacIntosh Award winner, Dorian understands the importance of collaborating with others to reach common goals. It was in this vein of collaboration that Dorian first developed an interest in helping to create a student-led Innovation Platform. He has always had a passion for problem-solving, and brings digital marketing and consulting experience to HIP.
